We’re proud to announce

The city centre transformation is now complete! Trams are now running on the Second City Crossing through bigger and better new-look tram stops at Deansgate-Castlefield, St Peter's Square, Exchange Square and Victoria. That means more trams than ever before on a revitalised city centre network.

victoria goes posh

As part of a wider redevelopment of Victoria Station, we’ve completely transformed the Metrolink stop. The multi-million pound overhaul has made for a bigger and better tram stop putting Metrolink right at the very heart of the new-look station.

With its new lighting, CCTV and customer information, Victoria stop offers a safer, brighter and better customer experience. As well as offering connections on the Bury line, East Didsbury – Shaw & Crompton – Rochdale services are now running on the new Second City Crossing through Victoria stop.

The Metrolink improvements at Victoria were just part of Network Rail’s wider redevelopment of the iconic station, which is now a modern and exciting gateway to the city. A striking new contemporary roof arcs over the station’s full refurbished concourse and Metrolink stop, making a light, bright and attractive space for passengers.
